As for those who strive in Us,

We surely guide them to Our paths (Quran)

"The Messenger of Allah , may Allah's peace and benedictions be upon him and his progeny, said, 'Verily, I leave behind two precious things amongst you: the Book of Allah and my Ahlul Bayt. Verily, the two will never separate until they come back to me by the side of the Pond.'"

"قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم: إني تارك فيكم الثقلين كتاب الله وأهل بيتي وإنهما لن يتفرقا حتى يردا علي الحوض."

Now here is the comment of Ibn Hajar:

“In the Hadiths that emphasis adherence to the Ahl al-Bayt is an indication of the unbroken existence of a perfectly qualified member of them to be followed TILL THE DAY OF RESURRECTION, as it is for the Quran, which is why they are protection for the people of earth – [as will be shown] -and the proof of that is what I have reported before (from the prophet): 'there will always be someones Just (characterized by absolute Justice) from Ahlul Bayt...'” (1)

"وفي أحاديث الحث على التمسك بأهل البيت، إشارة إلى عدم انقطاع متأهل منهم للتمسك به إلى يوم القيامة، كما أن الكتاب العزيز كذلك، ولهذا كانوا أمانا لأهل الأرض كما يأتي، ويشهد لذلك الخبر السابق في كل خلف من أمتي عدول من أهل بيتي إلى آخره." (1)

We say, if we add this to the Hadiths that limit the number of Imams to 12, then this will only prove that the Shiite are right about the imamate and the occultation of the imam (a.s.), and ultimately, the Shia view of Islam is what the prophet SAAW has taught.

The famous Sunni scholar Ibn Hajar admits that according to the Hadiths, there will always be a member of Ahlulbayt (a.s.) to follow, until the day of resurrection.

Before stating what Ibn Hajar has said, let us first state the famous Hadith of Thaqalayn, about which Ibn Hajar was commenting, Here is the Hadith, which is of the highest rank of authority (Mutawatir) where more than twenty of the companions of the prophet have narrated it, and was transmitted by tens of those who live during the companions time (the Tabi’een):
